November 2013 Updates To The TMR Advanced Graphite Projects Index

I recently updated the TMR Advanced Graphite Projects Index, to reflect one updated and one new mineral-resource estimate, one company name change and one acquisition, all of which were announced since the last update. The effective date of the updates is December 10, 2013. The specifics:

  • On October 24, 2013, Energizer Resources Inc. (TSX:EGZ, OTCQX:ENZR, F:YE5) acquired 100% ownership of the Molo graphite project in Madagascar, from its joint-venture partner Malagasy Minerals Limited (ASX:MGY);
  • On November 28, 2013, Strategic Graphite Limited, owner of the Uley Main Road graphite project in Australia, changed its name to Valence Industries Limited (ASX:VXL);
  • On December 2, 2013, Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. (TSX.V:ZEN) announced a maiden NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate for its Albany graphite project in Canada. According to the associated news release, 25.1 Mt of the resource is at the Indicated level @ 3.89% Cg and 20.1 Mt is at the Inferred level @ 2.20% Cg (each at a 0.6% Cg cut-off grade); and
  • On December 5, 2013, Mason Graphite Inc. (TSX.V:LLG, OTCQX:MGPHF) announced an updated NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate for its Lac Guéret graphite project in Canada. According to the associated news release, 11.9 Mt of the resource is at the Measured level @ 17.1% Cg, 45.5 Mt is at the Indicated level @ 15.6% Cg and 4.5 Mt is at the Inferred level @ 15.5% Cg (each at a 5% Cg cut-off grade).

The Index currently consists of 24 graphite mineral resources, associated with 21 advanced graphite projects15 different companies and located in 11 different regions within 7 different countries. Including the projects on the Index, TMR is currently monitoring a total of 283 graphite projects under development associated with 130 different companies in 26 different countries.

@Milan Arvensis: the file didn’t link but that’s OK – the new Balama West update from Syrah came in just after the cut-off point on December 10 for the update above – I’ll be sure to include it in the next one.
